Summary:
The 2 Centauri System contains three planets and a warm asteroid
belt. The sun is a red giant near the end of its life, it was once an
f-class sun like star. The system is very old around 8-10 billions years
old. The sun pulsates every 12 days becoming brighter then darker again.
The constant pulsating creates stress on the atmosphere of the worlds
here.

2 Centauri B
|
|
Planet B is the
last surviving terrestrial world in this system. When the sun grew
into a red giant it caused this world insides to stir up, becoming highly
volcanically active. Lakes filled with lava and liquid metals can be
seen on the surface (glowing red on the night side).

2 Centauri C
A sulfur rich
hot gas giant. Located at 8 AU from the sun, Planet C was once a cold
Jupiter like planet. The sun grew larger and brighter turning into a
red giant thus causing this world to become extremely hot, even at its
distance.

2 Centauri D
|
|
Planet D was a cold Saturn like world during most of this system's life.
The planet currently sits in the middle of the habitable zone of the dying
system. A very short period is all this world will know milde
temperatures because the sun will began losing its outer layers becoming a
white dwarf. This world will subsequently freeze again forever.

2 Centauri D2
A once icy
moon orbiting planet d now has water covered surface under a thick
atmosphere. The planet's endless oceans will exist for a very short
period before turning to ice again. The planet's population live in
domed cities, sitting on top of platforms, rising above the water.
