Galatia

Galatia is a planetary system orbiting a orange K-class star.  The system lies in the Hydrus Constellation of the Achernar Region.

 
The Galatia System was first settled with plans to terraform the primary planet. The planet has a thick carbon dioxide atmosphere with only a small amount of oxygen. Breathing apparatuses have been needed by humans to explore the outside surface.

Plans were devised to import organisms from other worlds that would convert the carbon dioxide atmosphere and increase the amount of free oxygen. Though any decrease in carbon dioxide would also lower the greenhouse effect, thus causing the planet that orbits on the outside edge of the habitable, to become to cold for liquid water, without adding other greenhouse gasses. Because of this, it's often been deemed too complicated and costly to terraform this world.

Galatia B
Galatia B is a rocky terrestrial world. The planet's atmosphere is composed of carbon dioxide with a small amount of oxygen. The planet's most visible feature is the sprawling chasm, a long scar stretching halfway across the planet's surface. What type of cataclysm created the massive scar is not well understood.

Galatia C is a common hydrogen/helium gas giant with over 1.25 times Jupiter's mass.  The planet contains trace amounts of methane and ammonia in it's upper atmosphere.
