Lucidenium

Lucidenium is a planetary system orbiting a white/yellow F-class star.  The system lies in the Cepheus Constellation of the Borealis Region.

Lucidenium is the center of the Borealis Region.  The primary planet has an ancient society that dates back to the Aurorians.  The planet saw incredible growth during the early expansion of interstellar travel, migrants from other worlds came to Lucidenium in hoards striving for better living conditions.

Lucidenium was a world that enjoyed fast technological growth compared to other worlds in the Inner Sphere.  Residents of other worlds viewed Lucidenium as a special world, an advanced place that offered a much better life than their home worlds.  Growth on Lucidenium was unstoppable for eons, the planet's cities exploded across the surface creating a planet-wide city called an ecumenopolis.

Conditions over the surface started to deteriorate, many parts of the ecumenoplis were built too swiftly and couldn't sustain a long-term population.  Pollution, slums, and poverty spread across the city, many of the migrants left for other worlds as quickly as they came.

Parts of the planet-wide city remain abandoned and are crumbling, though Lucidendium is still home to a massive population.  tThe planet remains a major technological and political hub in the Inner Sphere.
