Palace is a
planetary system orbiting a yellow G-class star. The system lies in
the Orion Constellation of the Gemini Region.
The frozen primary planet of the Palace System
appears to be an ordinary, fruitless world.
Though deep below the surface vast deposits of
americium exist. Americium is an important
element used in the cores of interstellar ships.
Mining the deposits and shipping the radioactive
metal off-world has made the planet a very
profitable place.
The
planet and its mines have been controlled by the
powerful Exiana Corporation. Exiana grew
powerful by flooding the Gemini and Orion
regions with Americium from Palace.
Exiana also controls the planet's capital city,
Port Novius. Port Novius was built of the side
of an mountain that was previously mined hollow.
A dome was built over the former open-pit mine,
and the city exits below.
