Syrma

Syrma (seer-mah) is a yellow g-class star in the Inner Region orbited by two planets.  The star is fairly young and is contains a debris disk

When the first explorers travelled to Syrma, they found a system with two worlds, one scorchingly hot, and the other a freezing cold gas giant.  It was quickly determined that Syrma had little to offer in terms of long term colonization.

For decades afterwards the system sat empty, only occasionally visited by robotic probes.  Looking to tap into the vast mineral resources, private mining operations were eventually built, starting on the night side of the tidally locked Syrma B.
