Validus

Validus is a planetary system orbiting a orange K-class star.  The system lies in the Cepheus Constellation of the Borealis Region.

Validus is home to a unique variety of grain producing crops.  When the grain from Validus is fermented and distilled, it produces exceptional alcoholic spirits that are known throughout the Inner Sphere.  Distilleries are plentiful across the planet, while the grain crops are grown throughout the agriculture world, the sprits are the planet's most important export.

Numerous worlds have tried to recreate the Validus spirits on their own planets, but have failed to capture the level of quality.  Ultimately true Validus spirits can only be created under the unique environmental conditions found on Validus's primary planet.

Validus Planets

Validus B
Validus B is a terrestrial world with a carbon dioxide and nitrogen atmosphere.  The planet's surface is covered in wide swaths of silicate sand, which when affected by high winds can create intense dust storms.

Distance: 0.33 AU

Orbit: 76 days

Temp: 370 K

Mass: 1.47 Earth

Radius: 7,538 km

Gravity: 1.05 g

Rotation: 77 hours

Moon(s): 1

Validus C
Validus C is a habitable, terrestrial world.  The planet is primarily an agriculture world that grows a variety of unique, grain producing crops.  The planet is covered in 50% water, the surface water is separated into many small to medium sized seas, that are spread across the planet.

Distance: 0.65 AU

Orbit: 209 days

Temp: 278 K

Mass: 0.41 Earth

Validus D
Validus D is an ice world with a xenon and nitrogen atmosphere.  Geyser vapor plumes can often been seen bursting through the planet's cold surface.  This gives evidence that a liquid ocean warmed by geothermal activity, exists under the surface.
