Ventaland

Ventaland is a planetary system orbiting a yellow G-class star.  The system lies in the Ursa Minor Constellation of the Polaris Region.

Ventaland's primary planet has an eccentric orbit giving it extreme shifts in seasons.  During the planet-wide winter much of the surface freezes, temperatures drop to frigid levels.  The summers are the complete opposite, the frozen landscape thaws during the planet-wide spring to reveal wetlands and swamps, temperatures began to soar as the planet swings into summer.

Many of the plants and vegetation on the planet become dormant during the winter as they sit under a thick layer of ice.  Colonists have adapted to the extreme seasonal shifts.  The majority of the population live in inland areas with relatively more stable temperatures, these areas less prone to flooding during the summer.
