Zeta Tucanae

 

Zeta Tucanae is a planetary system orbiting a white/yellow F-class star.  The system lies in the Tucana Constellation of the Inner/Sol Region.

 
Zeta Tucanae was settled by Terran colonists looking to profit off the system's minerals.  The system is home to a mineral rich moon which orbits an icy planet.  Mining colonies were established on the moon, but failed to ever become profitable.  Despite numerous attempts, much of the minerals are too expensive to extract and export.

 

Zeta Tucanae is slowly being depopulated, as it offers few resources for permanent colonists.  The system's population has been shrinking, after the mines on the moon were shuttered.
