Summary:

The planet Ryana is a humid, warm, earthlike world.  When the settlers first came to this place they found a world covered in dense forests, and as these forests were cut down rich soil for farmland was revealed.  A recent ice age had covered most of the planet glaciers.  When the ice age ended the glaciers disappeared leaving behind soil rich for agriculuture.  Today Ryana is the farming center for much of the Betelgeuse Region, as all different types of crops can be seen growing as far as the eye can see.  Much of the land is owned by a few, extremely rich, land owners, and is spread out on large plantations.  The plantations act as small cities employing hundreds and sometimes thousands of workers.
